Region 6

The Texas Permanency Outcomes Project
The Local Advisory Groups work to champion the Texas Permanency Outcomes Project (TXPOP) in each TXPOP pilot site region. Each group includes regional Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) leadership, child care licensing staff, judicial representatives, parents, foster caregivers, and youth formerly involved in foster care.

Our Current Region 6 Local Advisory Group

TXPOP is working very closely with Monarch Family Services in Houston, Texas to bring together important child welfare stakeholders in Region 6. The group has played a critical role in building community support and meets quarterly to provide feedback on various aspects of TXPOP.

SYSTEM ENGAGMENT

TXPOP engages the system on the statewide and local levels by asking key stakeholders to meaningfully contribute to the work. Our stakeholder groups include individuals representing the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), CASA, the courts, child care licensing, parents, foster caregivers, and youth formerly in foster care, among others. Stakeholder groups meet regularly to provide feedback and spread the word about our work throughout their networks.
